Regenerative Microneedling/Mesotherapy is a physician-directed treatment designed to improve skin tone, texture, hydration, and dermal resilience

With minimal downtime, it strengthens the foundation of the skin while complementing other biostimulatory procedures within a comprehensive aesthetic plan.

Using the FDA cleared Exceed™ medical microneedling device, Dr. Strell creates controlled microchannels within the superficial dermis. Microneedling itself has the benefit of exfoliation and localized dermal stimulation, but the process of regenerative infusion is the true therapeutic driver. These microchannels then allow precise delivery of bioactive, regenerative serums including hyaluronic acid, salmon DNA, biomimetic peptides, antioxidants, trace minerals and dermal-supportive bioactives selected to enhance hydration, collagen signaling and tissue repair.

Dr. Strell sources his medical grade serums from Toskani, a Barcelona-based compounding pharmacy with 70 years of experience formulating clinically validated biologically active serums for skin optimization.

No numbing required.

Most patients experience mild redness that typically resolves in less than 12 hours, although some individuals may have visible redness for up to 24 hours.

This treatment is designed to optimize results while avoiding the discomfort and extended recovery associated with more aggressive collagen induction techniques.

  • DISCONTINUE IRRITATING PRODUCTS

    • Stop using topical irritants such as retinoids, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, scrubs, and any products containing active acids (e.g., serums and face washes) 3-5 days before the treatment.

    DAY OF APPOINTMENT

    • The patient should not present with sunburned skin, open wounds, cold sores, active acne or any other skin irritations in the treatment area.

    • Arrive with clean skin: No makeup, self-tanner, or additional products should be applied.

    SUN PROTECTION POST-TREATMENT

    • Since sunscreen cannot be applied immediately after the treatment, patients should bring a loose-fitting hat to protect their skin the day of their appointment.

  • IMMEDIATE POST-TREATMENT

    • Keep post care treatment applied by your provider on your skin until the night of into the following day.

    • Do not apply any other products or treatments to the skin day of unless instructed by your provider.

    • Avoid any physical activity.

    • Avoid pools and oceans.

    • Avoid anything with extreme heat such as saunas, steam rooms, and ovens.

    MAKEUP APPLICATION

    • If necessary, light makeup can be applied 24 hours post-treatment

    FOLLOWING DAY

    Patients may resume basic skincare, which includes:

    • Gentle cleanser

    • Moisturizer

    • Mineral-based sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) containing zinc and/or titanium dioxide.

    RESUMING SKINCARE ROUTINE WITH ACTIVES

    • Patients can resume their standard at-home skincare protocol that includes active ingredients such as retinoids, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, scrubs, and any products containing active acids (e.g., serums and face washes) 3 days after the treatment, depending on the condition of their skin.

    • For patients with thinner or more compromised skin, it is advisable to wait at least one week before reintroducing acids, exfoliants, or topical prescription medications.

Treatment Approach

For optimal results, a structured three-treatment protocol is recommended, spaced approximately four weeks apart.

Mesotherapy can be used as a standalone skin rejuvenation protocol, between SofWave treatments, in conjunction with biostimulators like Sculptra® or Radiesse® and also supports healing and long-term outcomes after laser resurfacing.
